Austin Swanson is what happens when you mix the late 70’s to early 80’s with a 90’s kid making Pop/RnB in the year 2019. Now, that might feel like a lot of numbers, so… how do they all add up? Well, its easy.

Austin Swanson was born in 1997 to two parents obsessed with music: one with 80’s/New Wave, and the other with 70’s Yacht Rock. This music was much of his young life. As he grew he learned to love Pop, RnB, Rap, Jazz, Soul, etc… but this time-twisted upbringing created a unique situation for the Southern California kid. Now, he channels those deep-dive masterclass-esque years into his music, never relying on the modern approach when his mind wanders to his “80s Place”: aching strings, triumphant horns, and maybe a Juno or Jupiter for good measure.

As an artist, he’s worked under Grammy Award-winning teacher Keith Hancock, written with Warner/Chappel’s former VP of Creative Judy Stakee, sang with artists like Jason Mraz, recorded for Disney Tokyo parades… everything culminating into Austin Swanson. With a California sunset behind and a cheering crowd in front, Austin has never felt more at home. If you don’t believe… well, you’ll just have to see for yourself.
